Welcome to Growing Gardens

Over the last 20 years, Growing Gardens has brought gardening, nutrition
education and produce donations to over 136,000 Boulder County residents.

We offer a variety of programs to get people of all ages, backgrounds, income levels, and abilities
involved in growing and cooking their own food. These educational opportunities are paired with seed,
plant start, and produce donations, as well as gardening space, to impart greater food security and hunger relief in our community.

Open Space YES! Campaign

Join Growing Gardens in supporting Open Space Yes! in their work for Boulder ballot measure 2H. 2H will preserve and protect our magnificent mountain backdrop and open space in and around the city, including over 45,000 acres of land and 155 miles of trails. If 2H passes, the first year of funding will be used to purchase a conservation easement on the 25-acre Long’s Gardens property, ensuring that this community farmland is never subdivided or developed.

Want to get involved? Volunteer to walk neighborhoods and drop off literature between Monday, October 7 and Sunday, October 13. This will take 4-5 hours of vigorous walking around a neighborhood, but you can do it on your own schedule, as long as you are done by the evening of Sunday, October 13. Click here to learn more about this important work!
