Growing Gardens’ interns are an essential part of our work to cultivate community through sustainable urban agriculture. We offer hands-on, engaging, real-world experiences in a fun and welcoming work environment. Our interns have a strong desire to learn and work hard while maintaining a positive attitude throughout their commitment.

Environmental Education Internships

Full Season Environmental Education Instructor (40 hours per week, March 1st – Oct 31) Gain extensive skills, knowledge, and experience engaging learners of all ages in various teaching settings. To apply, please fill out the application below.

Spring Environmental Education Intern (15 hours per week, March 1st – June 1st) Spring EE Interns gain experience teaching and engaging youth in the Children's Peace Garden programs including on-farm and in-classroom teaching. To apply, please fill out the application below.

Summer Environmental Education Intern (32 hours per week, May 15th – August 17th) Summer EE Interns gain experience engaging youth and teens in the Children's Peace Garden and Cultiva Youth Project in addition to teaching adults in Horticultural Therapy programs. To apply, please fill out the application below.

Nonprofit Operations and Management Internship, Part-Time 20 hrs/wk

Marketing & Outreach Internship, Part-Time 20 hrs/wk                                                                                

Spring, Summer, and Fall Opportunities, Stipend Provided This intern will assist with marketing, outreach and special events. This is a part time (20 hrs/week) position.

Growing Internships

Cultiva Farm Management Internship, Full Season, Stipend Provided, March - October 2018

Cultiva Farm Management Interns will gain experience in managing and cultivating a small, organic vegetable farm while learning skills in community leadership and youth development through our Cultiva program. Please fill out this application to apply.

Fall Organic Farming Internship, August 15 – October 31, 2018. Please fill out this application to apply.

The focus of these internship will be to support production for the Cultiva CSA Farm, a two-acre certified organic vegetable farm. The Organic Farming Intern will report to the Boulder CSA Farm Manager and work extensively with the Cultiva participants and must have both the ability and desire to engage with, and mentor, young people. The Farm Internship is fast paced and requires a great deal of hard work, focus, and care.

Food Project Farm Internships, Part-Time, 20 hrs/week                                                                             

Spring, Summer, and Fall Opportunities, Stipend Provided This intern will support production for the Food Project Farm, a one-acre garden and educational site located in Longmont. FPF Interns will gain valuable experience in small scale organic agriculture and farm-based education for all ages. Please fill out this application to apply.

Spring Greenhouse Grower Internship - Part Time 15hrs/week, For Credit, March 1 – June 1 

Spring Greenhouse Interns will gain experience in the cultivation of vegetable and flower crops in the greenhouse environment while learning skills in community leadership and education. Please fill out this application to apply.
